Newmont Mining Appoints Noreen Doyle as Chairman

Newmont Mining Corporation has appointed Noreen Doyle as chair of the board of directors.

Noreen Doyle has been a director with the company since 2005 and previously served as vice chair and head of the board’s audit committee. Doyle’s experience includes top executive leadership roles at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and board leadership roles, including as vice chair and lead independent director of the board of Credit Suisse. Last year, she was appointed chair of the British Banking Association, a leading trade association for the UK banking sector with member banks having operations in 180 jurisdictions worldwide.

“We are honored that Noreen will take on the role of board chair and look forward to her guidance in helping Newmont deliver its strategy to lead the gold sector in value creation,” said Gary Goldberg, president and chief executive officer of Newmont.
