The League of Women Voters of Corvallis is hosting a presentation on hard rock mining in Oregon at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave.
On hand will be John Dilles, Oregon State University professor of geology and geophysics.
Dilles will discuss the benefits of mining as well as its impacts on the environment.
