Kolene Promotes W. Scott Schilling to President

Kolene Corporation has promoted W. Scott Schilling to president of the corporation effective January 11, 2016. Schilling succeeds Roger L. Shoemaker who retains the role of CEO and chairman of the board.
“As our senior vice president of sales, marketing and engineering, Scott has demonstrated the necessary management skills to lead Kolene as we continue to expand our global business. Our outlook for robust revenue growth is evidenced by our results in 2015 where Kolene’s sales were up some 25 percent over 2014. The corporation is in capable hands under Scott’s leadership,” said Shoemaker.
“I am truly honored to be appointed as Roger’s successor and excited to lead Kolene into the next chapter of business development. Under Roger’s leadership, our company has expanded its customer base, improved customer relations, and increased market share. I am privileged to have Roger’s continued confidence going forward. My vision is to further expand our internal R&D efforts as well as evaluate global JV possibilities that are synergistic to Kolene’s core business and offer attractive growth opportunities over the medium to long term,” said Schilling.
Schilling holds a bachelor of science from Purdue University and a master of science from Central Michigan University. He joined Kolene from Paragon Technologies where he was an executive vice president responsible for all commercial activities. Prior to that, he served in various sales management and business development roles with leading global semiconductor companies, most notably as a director at STMicroelectronics from 2000-2011. He was elected a company officer in January of 2012. Schilling and his wife Rebecca have three children and reside in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
