Jason Morin Appointed Manager of Boliden Tara Mines

Jason Morin has been appointed general manager of Boliden Tara Mines and will take up his position later this spring.

Jason Morin has extensive experience of the mining and smelting industries. His most recent position was as general manager and director with Newmarket Gold in Australia. Prior to this he has held a number of senior management roles within the mining, smelting and manufacturing industries, including as general manager of operations in Canada, France and USA.

The Boliden Tara underground mine is Europe’s largest zinc mine. The mine had in 2015 an annual production of 2.2 million tonnes of zinc and lead ore. The concentrates are supplied to both Boliden’s own and external smelters. The mine is located north of Dublin, Ireland.
