Governor Brian Sandoval was the keynote speaker at the 38th annual Nevada Mining Association (NvMA) Convention at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in South Lake Tahoe.

In a statement, organizers wrote, “mining has been an integral part of Nevada’s story for more than 150 years, a shining demonstration of the industry’s endurance, innovation, and adaptability. This applies to all areas of the industry, including safety, and is reflected in the industry’s recognition as a leader across the globe.”
