Bens Creek Group Second Highwall Miner Starts Operating, W.Va.

Bens Creek Group told investors that a key piece of equipment, a second highwall miner, has now arrived to site, has been assembled and has commenced operating.
The company, in a statement, noted that this unit (HWM Unit 81) was a replacement for a previous delivery (Unit 77) which ran into problems as certain missing electrical components proved unobtainable.
“While we are obviously disappointed that we wasted considerable time with a highwall miner which proved to be unusable, we are delighted at the speed with which Mega HWM have moved to correct the problem,” Chief Executive Adam Wilson said.
“We are now in the position to advance quickly to full production and deliver on our commitment to our shareholders,” Wilson added.
