Axiom Mining Appoints Robert Barraket as Chairman

Axiom Mining Limited has appointed Robert Barraket as non-executive chairman.
Robert Barraket has almost 50 years’ experience in legal practice including the establishment of two successful legal firms. He has been the legal advisor to numerous international and Australian mining and mineral exploration companies with interests in Australia and abroad. He is currently the chairman and partner of Barraket Stanton Lawyers in Sydney.
Outgoing Chairman Stephen Williams steps down after five years on the board, having guided Axiom through transformative and challenging times including vigorously defending the company’s rights over the world class Isabel Nickel Project in the Solomon Islands High Court.
“Axiom is grateful to Mr. Williams for his strategic oversight, guidance and commitment over the past five years. Under his stewardship, Axiom has achieved an enviable status within the nickel industry in the Asia Pacific region — surmounting fierce competition during one of the toughest economic environments in recent history,” said Ryan Mount, CEO of Axiom.
