Argentina Metals has appointed Roger Clegg as chief executive officer and director and Raymond Harari has transitioned to the company’s president.

“I am very pleased to welcome Roger as our new chief executive officer. As we transition into this next phase, I look forward to working closely with Roger and the broader team to build on the progress we have made and to prepare the company for the upcoming field season,” said Titus Gebel, chairman of the board of directors.

“There is considerable work underway, and Roger’s leadership, combined with his technical expertise and corporate finance experience, will be an important addition as we execute our plans. I am excited that Ray Harari continues playing an active role as president and to work alongside Roger as we advance the company and create value for our shareholders,” added Gebel.

Roger Clegg is a senior mining and natural resources executive with more than 25 years of international experience across geology, corporate finance, investment banking, and executive leadership. Prior to joining Argentina Metals, Clegg was head of Natural Resources at Imara Corporate Finance, advising mining companies, governments, and state-owned enterprises on M&A, financing, royalties, and strategic transactions. Previously, he served as chief operating officer of Ambrian, helping develop the business into an international commodity trading and logistics group with annual turnover exceeding $2 billion. Clegg also held senior mining finance positions at Barclays Capital and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and began his career as a consultant exploration geologist working in South America, Africa, and Russia. He brings extensive technical, financial, capital markets, and corporate leadership experience to the company.

“I am excited to join the company at such an important stage and to work closely with the Argentina Metals team as we prepare for the upcoming field season. Ray has built a strong foundation for the company, and I look forward to collaborating with him in his new role as president while bringing my own blend of technical and corporate finance experience to the team,” said Roger Clegg, chief executive officer.

“I believe that combination of skills and perspectives will be highly complementary as we move the company’s projects forward, execute on our field program and position the company for its next stage of growth,” added Clegg.

Argentina Metals is a Canadian copper exploration company focused on Mendoza Province, Argentina. The company holds approximately 146,700 hectares across 26 projects, all 100 percent owned on a clean-title basis with no private royalties, NSRs, back-in rights or earn-in obligations, other than royalties payable to the Province of Mendoza. Anchored by its flagship Las Estrellas Project, the company has built an early position in an underexplored part of the Argentine Andes amid the pro-mining reforms reshaping the country’s resource sector.
