Alacer Gold Appoints Stewart Beckman as Chief Operating Officer
Alacer Gold Corp. has appointed Stewart Beckman as chief operating officer. Beckman joins Alacer with more than 25 years in senior management roles with Rio Tinto and Placer Dome. Beckman has successfully managed development, construction and operations across a variety of commodities, including mines and complex hydrometallurgical processing facilities.
“The appointment of Mr. Beckman continues to strengthen our team and I am excited to have him join Alacer. His extensive experience including the constructing and operating a gold pressure oxidation plant, will be a valuable addition to the already experienced and capable team we have assembled to construct and commission the sulfide plant,” said Rod Antal, Alacer’s president and chief executive officer.
“Mr. Beckman is joining Alacer at an exciting time as we move into full construction of the sulfide plant and continue to quickly advance our organic growth projects. As Alacer’s chief operating officer, Mr. Beckman will be responsible for both the operations and organic growth projects,” added Antal.
