Teck’s new platform effectively automates safety form submissions, real-time access control, and role-based permissions for on-site vendors and contractors.

Vast mine sites operate like small cities, with hundreds of personnel, heavy machinery, and multiple vendors.

Naturally, these complex environments require strict safety protocols and precise access control.

However, the company’s previous paper-based safety and access management system presented significant challenges.

Personnel tracking was inefficient, and revoking or granting access quickly was difficult, increasing the risk of delays and safety issues.

Recognizing these limitations, Essential Designs built a digital solution for Teck to ensure greater safety, operational efficiency, and compliance.
