Singareni Collieries to Set Up Three Coal Wash Plants, India

With a view to protect the environment, Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is going to set up three coal wash plants, the company Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar disclosed at a meeting of Coal Preparation Society of India (CPSI) at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday. He said that majority of the customers in Australia take only washed coal from companies.

Speaking at the meeting, Sridhar said that the company already has three coal wash plants. With the new three plants, the company can supply 110 lakh tonnes of washed coal to customers. He stressed that the company is keen on taking all measurements for environmental protection. 

CPSI Chairman Alok Perti said that CPSI strives to protect the environment and explained the works done so far in this regard. SCCL is supporting well for environmental protection, he added. 

CPSI President RK Sachdev, SCCL Advisor DN Prasad, Director of Operations S Chandra Shekar and other officials participated in the meeting.
