Fatality from Electric Shock at Kanawha Eagle South Hollow Preparation Plant, W. Va.
Officials say an electrician has died after an electric shock at a coal mine in West Virginia.
The West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training says the worker died around 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Kanawha Eagle South Hollow Preparation Plant.
The agency says inspectors are investigating the incident.
Preliminary information indicates the electrician died from injuries suffered after the shock.
