Aussie Gold Holds Around A$1700 an Ounce

ASX listed gold stocks, both producers and explorers, remain a focus today as the price of gold in the local money hovers around A$1700 an ounce.
In the spot market at 1pm Sydney, Australia, time, gold is changing hands at US$1261 an ounce.
The Australian Dollar has firmed in early trade, and is sitting at AUD / USD 0.741.
