Two Crude Oil Pipeline Projects Extend Open Season, Texas

Two crude oil pipeline projects are extending open seasons to book capacity along their routes.

Midland pipeline operator Oryx Midstream Services announced on Friday that the company the company will now be booking capacity along its Oryx Delaware Oil Transport LLC project through June 21.

Oryx is using the open season to gauge interest from exploration and production companies in shipping crude oil from Permian Basin of West Texas to Phillips 66’s Gray Oak Pipeline and to a storage terminal near Midland owned by Houston pipeline operator Plains All American.

Houston pipeline operator Magellan Midstream Partners LP and Dallas pipeline operator Navigator Energy Services are extending an open season for their Voyager Pipeline for a third time.

Designed to move crude oil and condensate from storage terminals in Cushing, Oklahoma to refineries the Houston area, the original open season for the proposed pipeline was supposed to end on March 29 but was extended until May 31.

Magellan and Navigator are now giving oil companies until August 30 to book capacity on the Voyager Pipeline.
