Preferred Proppants Appoints Industry Veteran David King to Board of Directors

Preferred Proppants, LLC (Preferred Sands) has appointed David King to its board of directors.

David King, who currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee for Sheridan Production Company, LLC, which oversees investment decisions and strategic planning, previously served as a director and chairman of the Compensation and Governance Committee for Seventy Seven Energy, Inc.

Prior to retiring in April 2010 after a 32 year career, King served as president of the Completion and Production Division at Halliburton, where he was responsible for maintaining industry leadership in pumping services and completion tools. He was a member of Halliburton’s executive committee and served as chief health, safety and environmental officer for Halliburton. In 2013, he joined Archer, Ltd. where he served as CEO of the publically traded, global service company until 2016. King holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Alabama, where he was recognized in 2007 as a Distinguished Fellow of the College of Engineering.
