Praxair Receives 2018 Silver Class Distinction from RobecoSAM

Praxair, Inc. was awarded a Silver Class distinction in RobecoSAM’s Sustainability Yearbook 2018. Praxair was one of nine companies recognized with distinction in the chemical sector, and was the only U.S. company and industrial gases company to be recognized among all of RobecoSAM’s classes. Praxair has received a distinction each year since the yearbook was first published in 2004.
“It is important for corporations to step up and help address global challenges through their business practices and we are proud that Praxair is being recognized for doing so. RobecoSAM is identifying companies that they consider to be good investments based on a variety of metrics including Environmental, Social and Governance factors,” said Riva Krut, Praxair chief sustainability officer.
RobecoSAM is an investment specialist focused exclusively on sustainability investing and has compiled one of the world’s most comprehensive databases of sustainability information. The organization evaluated 2,473 companies based on economic, environmental and social dimensions, as well as other intangible business issues, such as management of innovation, customer relationships and brands.
