Petrofac has secured €340m engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Gazprom’s wholly owned subsidiary South Stream Transport.

As part of the deal, Petrofac will construct onshore pipelines and gas receiving terminal near Kiyiköy in Turkey.

Since April, Petrofac has been carrying out early works for the project through its EPCm business.

The works comprised of FEED verification, detailed design and procurement for the project, which is associated with the offshore section of the TurkStream Gas Pipeline.

As per terms of the contract, Petrofac will offer EPC services for the receiving terminal, which is expected to begin commercial operations in December 2019.

Once operational, the facility will secure 31.5 billion cubic meters of gas per annum from the TurkStream pipeline that starts from the compressor station in Anapa of Russia.

Petrofac is engaged in the designing, building, operating and maintenance of oil and gas facilities.

The company offers a full suite of engineering services, including conceptual and feasibility studies and FEED studies for both onshore and offshore facilities.
