LINX Cargo Care VR Technology Grabs Global Attention
The LINX Cargo Care Group has been recognized for its commitment to safety, innovation and diversity at two awards nights coming up this month.
The company has been named a finalist for its virtual reality (VR) safety training technology, which was rolled out throughout the company in April.
The training uses virtual and video reality to expose LINX Cargo Care Group’s 4000 employees to potential workplace risks, helping them to learn how to counter the risks in a safe environment.
Thanks to the initiative, LINX has been named as a finalist for the International Cargo Handling Coordination Association (ICHCA) Conference 20/20 Cargo Vision awards in Malta for the Innovation in Safety Award.
LINX has also been nominated as a finalist in five categories at the 2019 Daily Cargo News Australian Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards.
The company is up for the honor of the supply chain innovation and technology award, gender diversity award, excellence in bulk logistics or heavy lift award, environmental award and safety award.
“Being announced as finalists in such a broad range of awards is a testament to our talented team,” LINX Cargo Care Group Group Chief Executive Anthony Jones said.
“We’re honored to see that our commitment to diversity, safety and the environment is being recognized not just here (in Australia), but globally.
“Our VR training program is just one example of our innovative approach to delivering better outcomes and we look forward to bringing more innovative ideas and partnerships to the market in the next few months.”
