Hurricane Energy Appoints Alastair Stobie as Chief Financial Officer
Hurricane Energy PLC told investors it has hired Alastair Stobie as its new chief financial officer with immediate effect.
Stobie, a founder of Volga Gas and Pan-Petroleum, brings significant capital markets and oil and gas industry experience to the company.
He was also previously finance director for Zoltav Resources, and was chief financial officer of Oando Exploration & Production.
Hurricane - which has been seeking industry partners to develop North Sea oil fields - highlighted that in his career Stobie has been actively involved in numerous corporate transactions, including M&A and the acquisition and disposal of license interests.
“I am delighted that we have attracted such a high caliber CFO with extensive capital markets experience and specific expertise in the commercial and financial aspects of the E&P sector as we progress our strategy to bring the Lancaster field into production,” said chief executive Dr. Robert Trice.
