Glenfarne Group Appoints Scott Meller as Head of Capital Formation
Glenfarne Group has hired Scott Meller, CFA, as head of Capital Formation. In this role, Meller will lead Glenfarne’s institutional fundraising and investor relations activities, supporting the firm’s capital formation strategy across its energy and infrastructure platforms.
“Scott brings deep institutional relationships and a strong track record across energy and infrastructure capital formation significantly strengthening our internal capabilities,” said Brendan Duval, CEO and founder of Glenfarne.
“His deep experience partnering with global institutional investors will support disciplined fundraising, long‑term capital alignment, and continued growth across Glenfarne’s energy and infrastructure platforms,” added Duval.
Scott Meller joins Glenfarne from Actis, part of General Atlantic, where he most recently served as director and head of North America for the Investor Solutions Group. In that position, he led capital‑raising efforts across energy, infrastructure, and real estate strategies and managed relationships with institutional investors including public and corporate pension plans, insurance companies, asset managers, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
Prior to Actis, Meller spent seven years at Brookfield Asset Management in the Private Funds Group, where he raised capital across the firm’s private fund strategies, including infrastructure, real estate, private equity, growth equity, and credit.
Earlier in his career, Meller worked in investment banking and financial advisory at Evercore Partners and Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, where he supported private capital fundraises, M&A advisory assignments, and valuation and transaction‑related analysis.
Meller holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He earned a Master of Accountancy in Business Valuation from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
