FirstEnergy Names Brian Paganie External Affairs Manager for Clearfield and Dubois Areas of Pa.

FirstEnergy Corp. has named Brian Paganie as the new external affairs manager for the Clearfield and Dubois areas of its Pennsylvania Electric Company (Penelec) utility. He replaces John Shimko, who has retired.
External affairs managers serve as liaisons between Penelec and elected officials, as well as support community involvement activities. They work from regional offices across Penelec’s service area to provide closer proximity to and understanding of the unique issues that face each community they serve. Paganie will be located at the company’s Clearfield, Pa., service center.
Brian Paganie joined FirstEnergy in 2009, and most recently served as a major account executive for the company’s unregulated affiliate, FirstEnergy Solutions. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Ohio University.
Penelec serves approximately 600,000 customers in 31 Pennsylvania counties.
