Double Eagle Energy Appoints Richard Burnett as Chief Financial Officer

Double Eagle Energy Holdings II has appointed Richard A. Burnett as chief financial officer.
Richard Burnett brings two decades of financial management, accounting and public company expertise to Double Eagle’s executive leadership team.
“We are very pleased to have Ricky Burnett join Double Eagle as our new chief financial officer. We are confident that his leadership, finance, accounting and public company experience, combined with his extensive industry knowledge, will be an exceptional addition to our team as we continue to enhance and grow our core Midland Basin position,” said Cody Campbell, co-chief executive officer of Double Eagle.
“We would also like to thank Joshua Gregg for serving as the Company’s CFO since joining us from Apollo. Josh has played an instrumental role in driving Double Eagle’s significant growth and development to date, and he will now continue to build our execution capabilities within Double Eagle as executive vice president in charge of strategy and corporate development,” said John Sellers, co-chief executive officer of Double Eagle.

Burnett was most recently with EXCO Resources, Inc. from 2013-2016, where he served as vice president and chief financial officer. Burnett was previously a partner at KPMG LLP where he spent 12 years primarily serving the oil and gas industry. He began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP.
