BLM Issues Drilling Permits for Eight Gas Wells, Utah
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an environmental assessment and decision record that authorizes approval of applications for permits to drill for up to eight gas wells from a new well pad (Rainier 1124) with associated infrastructure (access road and pipelines) to produce federal minerals, as proposed by the applicant, Anschutz Exploration Corporation.
The project location is on BLM-administered lands, with the exception of a portion of the pipeline route which would cross private (fee) and TLA-administered surface. The location is approximately 43 linear miles south of Vernal, Utah in Section 23, Township 11 South, Range 24 East. S.L.B.&M. in Uintah County, Utah.
