AIRIS Wellsite Services has completed another successful project. Atalaya Resources contracted with AIRIS to protect the health and safety of all personnel on-site by preventing exposure to silica dust. The Barnett 29/28-11-21 1H was successfully drilled and brought online near Elk City, Oklahoma. AIRIS has experience on similar projects in the region and provided full dust control support throughout the project. This was Atalaya’s inaugural well.

“It was exciting to be a part of Atalaya’s first project. Along with ensuring the health and safety of employees in relation to silica dust, dust control also preserves the integrity of equipment and prevents costly downtime,” said AIRIS Wellsite Services General Manager, Santo Petitto.

Additionally, AIRIS’s patented, total dust control solutions served as a safeguard to eliminate any potential environmental impact from silica dust to the surrounding community. Respirable silica dust can easily spread beyond the boundaries of a wellsite. By committing to AIRIS’s total dust control solution, Atalaya demonstrated its dedication to being good neighbors to nearby residences and businesses.

AIRIS Wellsite Services’ total dust control solution is the only in the industry that tackles the six sources of equipment-generated silica dust. Along with curbing silica dust exposure, AIRIS supplies an exposure control plan that keeps wellsites in compliance with current and future OSHA standards.

“We’re looking at an increase in activity as drilled, uncompleted wells are brought to completion. Providing total dust control solutions will protect the health of numerous workers, extend the lifespan of critical equipment, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards,” said Petitto.
