Weir Appoints Brian Doffing as President of ESCO Division

Weir has appointed Brian Doffing as president of its ESCO Division following Sean Fitzgerald’s recent retirement.

He brings deep experience in mining, industrial technology and aftermarket-led businesses, together with a proven record of building global teams and delivering growth. I am confident that Brian will leverage ESCO’s strong technology platform and trusted customer relationships to take the division forward into its next phase of growth,” said Andrew Neilson, CEO of Weir.

Brian Doffing brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the mining, engineering, and heavy equipment sectors. He joins Weir’s ESCO Division from Alamo Group, where he was the group vice president, Excavators and Vacuum Trucks. Prior to joining Alamo Group in 2025, Brian held several senior leadership positions with Epiroc, including global vice president, OreBody Solutions and president, Greater China. In these roles, he led international teams, expanded mining technology and drilling businesses, and played a key role in the integration and growth of product portfolios. He also previously held senior management roles with Atlas Copco, prior to the split out of Epiroc, and began his career as a mechanical engineer. Brian holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Finance and Strategy.
A U.S. citizen, Brian has extensive international experience having worked in China and Sweden as well as Singapore and Peru. He will be based in Portland, Oregon.
