Sandfire Resources Appoints Robert Scargill as Vice President-Project Development

Sandfire Resources America Inc. has announced the appointment of Robert Scargill as vice president-project development and as a director of Sandfire America.

Scargill is an internationally experienced mining engineer responsible for the development and operation of a number of underground mines. Most recently, Scargill was the chief executive officer of LeadFX Inc., a Canadian-based company with projects in western Australia and Utah. Scargill holds a bachelor’s of engineering degree from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and a graduate diploma of management from the University of Central Queensland, Australia.

Scargill will be responsible for the development of a bankable feasibility study for the Black Butte Copper Project and full development of the portal and decline once all regulatory approvals are in place.

Sandfire is developing an underground mine near Sheep Creek north of White Sulphur Springs.
