American Coal Council Welcomes President Donald Trump’s Second Term

The American Coal Council (ACC) has extended its congratulations to President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance on their inauguration as the 47th President and 50th Vice President of the United States.
The ACC said it looks forward to collaborating with the administration to advance policies that support the coal supply chain and ensure a stable energy future for the nation.
President Trump’s recent executive actions, including the declaration of a national energy emergency and the “Unleashing American Energy” initiative, underscore his unwavering commitment to bolster domestic energy production. These measures aim to reduce regulatory burdens, promote energy independence, and enhance national security.
A recent poll conducted for the National Mining Association reveals that 88 percent of Americans support a comprehensive energy strategy that includes a diverse mix of baseload fuels, such as natural gas, coal, and nuclear power. Additionally, 70 percent of respondents advocate for increased domestic mineral production to lessen reliance on foreign sources, many of whom are adversaries.
The ACC said it is optimistic that the administration’s focus on energy security and economic growth will create opportunities for the coal supply chain. The ACC said they are committed to working with federal and state agencies to develop policies that promote responsible coal production, protect jobs, and contribute to the nation’s energy needs.
