The Miners Hall Museum will be having its second annual Camp Franklin Event on Oct. 20-21.

This live re-enactment will give individuals a glimpse of what it was like for young immigrants to leave their homes and travel to Crawford County, Kansas, to work in the coal mines. Actors will portray various roles and relay stories of actual immigrants.

The program will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the grounds of Miners Hall Museum, 701 S. Broadway in Franklin. Tickets are $5 for adults and children over the age 12.

Inside the museum, a variety of refreshments will be available. This event is open to the public. Friday night’s event is being held in conjunction with the first Annual Wine Walk at Franklin Community Park. Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite for both events or purchased at the door.
