Savage Acquires Industrial and Environmental Field Services Company Sunpro

Savage has increased its service capabilities by acquiring Midwest-based industrial and environmental field services company Sunpro, Inc. Founded in 1989, Sunpro provides emergency response and planned services including spill response, remediation and transportation of environmental waste, across a variety of industries. Sunpro currently operates nine facilities, supporting more than 100 customers in 12 states.
“We serve many of the same industries and customers, so there’s synergy in combining Sunpro’s environmental response capabilities with the industrial solutions Savage already provides. We believe our 230-plus operating locations coupled with Sunpro’s expertise and success will greatly increase our ability to serve customers in more places,” said Kirk Aubry, president and CEO of Savage.

We expanded our operations last year, and our more than 120 team members are always quick to address customers’ specific environmental needs. Sunpro has service centers across the Midwest, in Toledo, Cleveland, North Canton and Steubenville, Ohio; Chicago and Galesburg, Illinois; Indianapolis and Elkhart, Indiana; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Sunpro’s highly trained workforce is able to handle situations ranging from chemical releases, tank truck rollovers, pipeline emergencies, train derailments, leaking containers, maritime spills, in-plant releases and more. Sunpro provides services for rail facilities and operations that include railcar cleaning, inspection and repairs, and mobile recertification. For the oil and gas industry, Sunpro provides fluids transportation, vac truck services and containment services.
