Tall Oak Midstream III has unveiled plans to build a natural gas gathering system in East STACK play of southeast Oklahoma, US.

The natural gas gathering system will cover Hughes County and portions of Seminole, Pontotoc, Coal, Pittsburg, Atoka and McIntosh counties.

East STACK system will initially include around 50 miles of 12-inch to 20-inch pipeline, two compression facilities, 5,000 bpd stabilizer, an associated slug catcher and condensate storage facilities.

Expected to be operational by the end of this year, the system is also expected to see an addition of a cryogenic processing facility.

The company is currently negotiating with the area’s producers to decide the best size for the plant and strategic location for flexible access to premium residue and NGL markets.

Producers working in the East STACK are developing various stacked pay zones, comprising of Woodford, Caney and Mayes formations.

Tall Oak III has been established two months back with an initial equity commitment of around $200m from EnCap Flatrock Midstream and the firm’s management team.

Tall Oak Midstream II is operating and expanding its midstream assets in the Northwest Stack play, while Tall Oak Midstream I was divested to EnLink in January 2016.

Tall Oak Companies Chief Commercial Officer Carlos Evans said: “The East STACK is an exciting play that lacks the infrastructure required to handle the emerging growth in production from rich, horizontal gas wells.

“The Tall Oak companies have quickly established a very strong record of rapidly developing gathering and processing solutions that offer reliable access to the best markets.”

Tall Oak companies offer diversified services, including natural gas gathering, compression, treating and processing, condensate and water handling and product marketing solutions.
