SilverLiner, a new manufacturing company, is coming to Pikeville. The company will be located in the Kentucky Industrial Park and produce tanker trucks.

“It means more to me than anything to put our people back to work,” Chris Tomlinson, owner of SilverLiner, said.

The company creates specialized tanker trucks. These trucks can carry up to 14 different products to multiple states during the same trip.

“This is a special truck, these trucks can haul many different products,” Tomlinson said.

Tomlinson said he hopes to see the company grow internationally.

“We believe that SilverLiner can take this international and supply these around the world,” Tomlinson said.

SilverLiner will employ displaced coal miners. Tomlinson hopes to put around 300 people back to work.

“That means more to me than anything else we can do,” Tomlinson said.

Phillip Keathley is a retired coal miner. He said he saw the devastating effects when coal plummeted. As new companies come in, he said he is hopeful.

“I just like everyone getting jobs, the economy growing and everything going, that is right,” Keathley said.

Keathley said he believes this company will also boost the economy throughout the region.

SilverLiner will be located in the spec building at the Kentucky Industrial Park. Tomlinson hopes to be working out of the building in the next 12 to 14 months.
